Can't recommend this place highly enough!!!!On taking a chance to find somewhere to eat in Leatherhead that would cater for 4 hungry and tired children and two frazzled adults,(day trip to Chessington)we were thrilled to come across your fabulous restaurant. Absolutely outstanding service from lovely chap who we found out to be the part owner,home cooked food to die for, very comfortable atmosphere with lots of families and young children and very reasonably priced menu. We will definitely be back - thanks once again.

We have been to this friendly, atmospheric restuarant twice now and both times have enjoyed wonderful food and service. The wines are good value and well kept, the food is delicious and better than we can cook at home. We will always use this restuarant for birthdays, anniversaries as you are assured of a quality experience.

Home delivery service is amazing! Very nice young chap on a Friday ... Always friendly and smileing! Very good hot food and is always quick and very easy. Recomends to anyone who gets hungary! Jackie

just wanted to say we have been coming here since you opened and we have NEVER had a bad meal our 8 year old daughter says its the best pizza she has ever had,but i would also like to say the reason we love coming here(most weekends)is that we love that all the food is freshly made which is great when you have children. who wants to eat out knowing that it has been cooked in a microwave.the spag bol is to die for .I have stopped cooking it at home as my hubbie says its not the same .

Have been coming to the restaurant for years as we love the food - the pork shanks have been a regular treat and are so enormous that we've "nearly" always needed a doggy bag. Planning on popping in for lunch tomorrow with the children and thought I'd look at the website see if there were any new tasty surprises on the menu.

I just want to reitterate Tony's comments. What first attracted me to the Restaurant was how busy it was thus lending itself to a fab atmosphere and made me think how yummy the food must be. What I also liked was the fact that it seemed to be so inviting. Chris - one of the owners - welcomed Tony and I in a way that you dont experience much anymore. Making sure we were catered for, he was so welcoming and friendly it was lovely being treated like part of the family. I dont have a big appetite normally but have to admit I polished everything off - even Tony was surprised!! But the food was DIVINE!!! The house wine (a French one I recall) was perfect. I would high recommend you visit Vecchia Trattoria to enjoy asap.

I visited your restaurant on sat 23/01/10 following a visit to London for the weekend. After a stroll around Leatherhead, my girlfriend and I noticed how busy the restaurant was, so thought we would give it a try. On entering we were greeted by a lovely chap who turned out to be the owner and, following a short wait, were taken to our table. The wine I ordered was the house white which is highly recommended and complimented a generous portion of mussels in a tomato and chilli sauce perfectly. Main meals consisted of ravioli for myself and arabiatti for Julie with a garlic bread and tomato, in Julies words......it was divine!!!! To cap it all off, the owner even spent time to get to know us a little and tell us a little about his restaurant. I have to admit that this was the best Italian meal I have ever had,the food is divine, value for money is excellent and the service is first class. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and only wish I was a restaurant critic in order to give this venue the write up it truly deserves.

Earlier in the Summer we held my husband's 60th birthday party in our garden. Our party planners were Susan and Chris from the VT. Absolutely excellent with the planning, enormous attention to detail, fabulous food and service. I couldn't have done it without them, it was great. AND we had Dan to do the disco which was absolutely great. Everybody had a whale of a time and they are still talking about it. Thanks to all of the staff for all their very hard work. Certainly to be recommended to anyone who has a big party to plan.

we use your takeaway service all of the time due to having a new baby and not being able to get to the restaurant.Weve been coming to you for years though and food and service is always excellent and chris is always very welcoming.

Recently moved to the area and have been to your restaurant three times now, and already am being recognised and treated like an old friend. The food is great and the ambience warm. Well done.

We did enjoy very much our visit to the restaurant last week. We always do. I can honestly say that we always choose this restauant out of all others in this area because of the consistently high standard of food and service. We always find ourselves comparing other Italian

I always thought, fantastic tasting Pizzas have to be eaten only in Italy. I was wrong. The Pizzas in Vecchia Trattoria are delicious. The atmosphere is warm, cosy and homely. The staff friendly and welcoming. What a great place.

A lovely resturant! The best italian in Leatherhead and Epsom, the chains simply cannot compete with the genuine flavours and service here. Very informal and relaxed, and the best Pizza sauce around! We have enjoyed many meals here and the staff always make you feel welcome.

Just to say thank you for a great evening on Friday night. The effort you went to for us was really appreciated. Everyone had a really great time and the food and service was excellent. Hopefully we can enjoy more celebration evenings with you - as long as the boys keep winning - and next time we would look to hiring the whole restaurant and maybe I can relax more as I will know it will only be us.

Although the restaurant was really full, we turned up on the off chance of getting a meal. We had to wait a bit, but were given a free drink for this inconvenience. The food was really delicious and the helpings truly generous. The staff were friendly without being intrusive and we felt part of the United Nations! The ambience of the restaurant is informal but so redolent of an Italian eaterie. This is an indulgence everyone should try - it's so afordable!
